Henin leads WTA rankings, Chakvetadze to career-high number six

Hamburg - French Open champion Justine Henin maintained first place in the women's tennis rankings issued on Monday by the WTA, while Russian Anna Chakvetadze rose to a career-high number six ranking.



The Belgian Henin has garnered 4,457 points to top the bill ahead of Russian Maria Sharapova (3,678) and Serbia's Jelena Jankovic (3,241).

 Chakvetadze rose from seventh to sixth place courtesy of her fourth 2007 title and sixth overall, won on Sunday in Stanford. The 20-year-old Russian has 2,541 points, swapping positions with former number one Amelie Mauresmo, who is on 2,424 points.
