SCIB sells asset management subsidiary to GPF

Siam City Bank has sold 40 per cent of its wholly owned subsidiary Siam City Asset Management (SCIS) to the Government Pension Fund (GPF), which covers the staff of state agencies.



The bank informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand yesterŽday that with its 40percent holding in the assetmanageŽment firm, the GPF would become its strategic partner.

President Chaiwat Utaiwan said in a statement that the board had also agreed that the bank should invest an addiŽtional Bt10 billion in SCIS to buy one million shares at Bt10 apiece. - The Nation
