
Egat's deputy governor for transmission system business Chamnong Wongsawang said that the investment is in line with the project to purchase the electricity from the major independent power producers (IPPs) and to cater its plan to expand its power production capacity.
He added that the move would enable to the state agency to cater the rising electricity demand.
