RRC/ATC gain on merger

Rayong Refinery Plc and Aromatics (Thailand) were the most active stocks on Monday, following the announcement that they would be merged to create the largest refinery in ASEAN namely PTT Aromatics.

RRC closed the day at Bt24.30, up Bt2 while ATT closed at Bt71 or Bt4 higher.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand ends Monday with a 1.42 per cent gain, despite the Sunday clash of protesters and police.

The composite SET Index ended the day at 862.62 points, or 12.08 points higher. A number of 2.98 billion shares were changed hands on turnover of Bt24.2 billion.
