Kosit: Non-textile industries unaffected
Deputy Prime Minister and Industry Minister Kosit Panpiemras said on Monday there is no need to closely monitor the impacts of the strong baht on non-textile industries.
"I believe that investment would grow despite the strong baht which is a short-term problem. The government is committed to promote investment through practical policies," he said.
While saying that only those in the textile industry are affected the most, he said the government would look into the problems in segments. The Board of Investment has been instructed to monitor the dyeing segment, for example.
"The private sector should also help the government," he said.
