The combination show - under the theme "Two in One" - will be held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre from July 26-29.
Managing director Kavin Kittiboonya said the number of exhibitors at TFBO would increase by 15 per cent to 240 booths, making it the biggest franchise venue in the region. The show also sees Thailand becoming the regional hub of franchising, instead of Singapore.
Last year, TFBO had franchisers from the US, United Arab Emirates, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Most were in beauty, food and education. Operators from the Netherlands, Italy, China and Indonesia will join this year.
"Thailand's franchise business is growing by 15-25 per cent a year due to the expansion of existing firms and the start-up of new companies, particularly international brands," Kavin said.
The retail hospitality business is growing in line with the tourism and service industry, he added. "Thailand was voted the No-1 tourist destination and the sector is still getting larger. Many hotels are being built. So we just organise TRAFS as a meeting place for buyers and sellers, those who need to use equipment and facilities."
