Honda to invest Bt6.2 bn in Thailand
Asian Honda Motors on Wednesday announced that the company will invest Bt 6.2 billion in Thailand to build a second manufacturing facility in the country.
The facility will be the largest single investment for the company in Thailand which will produce an additional 120,000 units per year, boosting Honda's annual production in Thailand to a total of 240,000.
The facility which is scheduled to start operating in 2008 and situated in Ayuthaya will make the facility the largest passenger car production facility of an international manufacturer in the ASEAN region.
