Amsterdam riverside cuisine

Set in the solemn decor of the Hotel Amstel, la Rive (riverside in French) ranks among Amsterdam's very best.

Published on July 14, 2007

The hush-toned, dimly lit dining rooms provide exceptional views over the river and offer incomparable comfort. Leading politicians, media stars and royalty alike enjoy the formal and polished feel of the place almost as much as the subtle, ever-changing dishes, which include turbot and truffles with trimmings and roasted rack of lamb with dates.

The flawless wine list and impeccable service efficiently enhance an already memorable experience.

The terrace is a must in the summer.
