From Beatrix Potter to Harry Potter, Britain is home to many of the world's most widely-read authors and stories.  This school holidays fly your family to Britain with British Airways where children of all ages can get closer to their story book heroes.  With British Airways' child-friendly Skyflyers service, the fun will start the moment your family boards the plane.

The much-loved children's writer Beatrix Potter was recently brought to life by Renee Zellweger in the film Miss Potter.  Now your whole family can see Miss Potter's magical creations, including Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and Mrs Tiggy-winkle, at "The World of Beatrix Potter" (www.hop-skip-jump.com) in the Lake District. Visitors throughout 2007 stand the chance of winning a silver sculpture worth £3,000 (THB 185,000) if they crack Beatrix Potter's code.

He stole from the rich to give the poor but today Robin Hood, Britain's most famous outlaw, is the star of films, story books and comics.  At "The Tales of Robin Hood" in Nottingham (www.robinhood.uk.com) children can see scenes from medieval towns where Robin Hood roamed, enjoy a medieval banquet and learn to use swords and shields.

Walk through scenes from Wonderland at The Alice in Wonderland Centre (www.wonderland.co.uk) in Wales, and you don't need to fall into a rabbit hole to see them.   This enchanting experience for all ages includes scenes and characters from the popular book such as the Mad Hatter, the Queen of Hearts and the Cheshire Cat.

Remember the steam train that takes Harry Potter and his friends into Hogwarts at the start of each school term?  Take your family on a journey they'll never forget by booking tickets on the original Jacobite steam train (www.steamtrain.info) which was used as the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter movies, including the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix due out in July. On your trip, you will have breathtaking views of the Scottish countryside as well as crossing the Glenfinnan Viaduct, which also appears in the films.

Steve Limbrick, regional general manager, British Airways South East Asia, said: "Great stories such as Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderful are some of the magical ingredients of childhood and leave a lasting impression on us all.  The whole family will be enchanted by these attractions that can be found throughout the UK.  And with British Airways, travelling to the UK has never been easier for children and adults of all ages."

British Airways understands that your experience onboard can affect how you feel about your whole trip - especially with kids in tow.  With this in mind, British Airways has compiled some Top Tips to ensure every member of your family enjoys the journey:

• Log on - Through ba.com, families with up to six people can check in and book their seats together, as well as order special meals, up to 24 hours before departure.

• On board - Once on board, let the cabin crew know of any special requirements (baby changing areas, bottle-warming etc).  Take advantage of the Skyflyer welcome gift and goodies pack and introduce your children to the inflight entertainment available through the individual seat-back TV screens. Children's meals will also be served first.

• Shut-eye - To avoid jet lag, encourage your children to take regular naps according to the time zone you are travelling to.  Avoid sugary soft drinks and ensure your children drink plenty of water during the flight.

• Accommodation - Consider booking a child-friendly apartment with cooking facilities and a lounge area as an alternative to staying in a hotel.  A great selection of family-friendly apartments is available through British Airways Holidays at ba.com.

British Airways operates everyday between Bangkok and London.  From London's Heathrow Airport, the airline flies to most major British cities including Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle.
