Baht touches fresh 10-year high at Bt33.90 per dollar

Thai baht on Monday rose to the fresh 10-year high of Bt33.90 during the morning session due mainly to continual foreign capital inflows after it broke psychological barrier of Bt34 a dollar last week.

The foreign fund flows have apparently boosted the Thai bourse since last week and the SET rallied again on Monday.

The dealer from Siam Commercial Bank said he believed the Bank of Thailand had "supported" the baht level. Thus, the baht remained stable at Bt33.90 to Bt33.91 at 12.20 pm. - The Nation
