China interested in 3G project in Thailand, says Sitthichai

Information and Communications Technology Minister Sitthichai Pookaiyaudom on Friday said that the China's government is interested in joining with Thailand's state-run cellular operator Thai Mobile to invest on the broadband cellular 3G network and service.

Sitthichai said that he asked TOT Plc, one major shareholder of Thai Mobile, to consider the matter. However, he declined to elaborate on more details.
