KTB supports Universiade

Krung Thai Bank throws in a financial support of Bt40 million to help hosts Thailand make the Bangkok Universiade during August 8 and 18 a memorable success.

[UNIVERSIADE] Thammasat's Rector Professor Dr Surapol Nitikraipoj recently received the supporting sum of Bt40 million from Krung Thai Bank PCL's senior executive vice president Preecha Phukham, with Education Minister Professor Dr Wichit Srisa-an, the chairman of the 24th Universiade Bangkok 2007 Organising Committee (Uboc), presiding over the presentation ceremony at the Radisson Hotel on Wednesday, July 4.

Preecha said that the financial support was in line with the bank's policy to help the host country give the Bangkok Universiade a smooth run. The sum will be spent on the renovation task of all competition sites at Thammasat Rangsit. The Universiade is due to take place between August 8 and 18, with more than 10,200 athletes from 151 countries taking part in 15 sporting events.
