Prakiat Nasimma, a former Roi Et senator and a spokesman for the Thaksin legal team, said yesterday actions would be brought against the Assets Examination Committee (AEC) and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI).
He said Thaksin would not seek political asylum because of the activities of the DSI and AEC.
The AEC succeeded in having Thaksin charged for abuse of power in the purchase by wife Pojaman of a multi-million-baht plot of undeveloped land.
Separately, the DSI has issued summonses for Thaksin to appear and hear charges of allegedly concealing assets and the couple for alleged offences over shareholding declarations in listed SC Asset.
Thaksin is accused of concealing assets as a politician and making a false declaration of shareholdings, too.
The Thaksin legal team will claim both agencies acted illegally and violated the defendants' human rights in bringing the charges.
AEC members yesterday brushed off the threat of counter suits. Udom Fuangfung said the panel was not afraid of Thaksin because it acted in accordance with the law.
"We do not pay attention to what they say. Their statements carry no weight. What role do they have?" he asked.
AEC spokesman Sak Korsaengruang said the panel was prepared for a legal battle.
Thaksin and his family have already lodged six complaints against the anti-graft agencies - three of which have been accepted as having cases to answer.
Pojaman had a defamation action accepted for hearing by the Criminal Court against AEC chairman Nam Yimyaem and five others for an April 30 comment about the Ratchadaphisek purchase. It commences on July 16. She accused Nam of malfeasance in the investigation of the same purchase, too. That goes to trial on July 23.
