
The increase came after a contraction of 7.5 per cent in the first quarter and a decline of 7.6 per cent in the past full year.
But the value of land and construction transactions contracted by 6.1 per cent year on year.
This was in line with decreasing prices for accommodation as developers stimulate demand, the bank said.
However, cement sales have declined since the beginning of the year with a reduction of 11 per cent in April, which implies the construction sector remains in the doldrums, the bank added.
