Silver, bronze for Thailand
Thai exponents yesterday claimed two medals on the second day at the World Taekwondo Championships in Beijing.
Finweight Chatchawal Khaola, who captured the gold medal at the Asian meet last year on home soil, settled for the silver when he went down 0-2 to former two-time world champion Choi Yeon-ho from South Korea in the final. Lightweight Nutthapong Limwattana failed to make his mark on his international debut, when he lost a second-round encounter to Korean Ko Jun-ho 3-4. Earlier, in the women's competition, featherweight Watcharapong Doinoi took the bronze after losing to Turkey's Bikcin Hamide (-1)-6 in the semi-finals
