Week wrapped up with a nautically inspired collection by Boudoir that once again certified Disaya Prakobsantisukh's talent in design.
Before the models hit the runway, the show began with staff in sailor suits distributing tasty ice cream. It had the adverse effect of warming folks up after a chilling two-hour delay in the proceedings. Punctuality isn't on Elle Week's agenda.
When things did start in earnest, mother-to-be Disaya showed pretty and girlish ropes, ribbons and knots. Strapless, bubble-shaped dresses hugged the bosom.
A nude-tone short dress with prints like tassels was cinched at the waist with a chunky belt. A body-skimming version had silver strips outlining the bust.
Accessories used to complement the miniskirts included a large Swarovski-encrusted bow brooch and more of Disaya's popular jewelled teddy-bear necklaces. This time she introduced more elements from the forest - shamrocks, shells, owls, bunnies, squirrels and porcupines embellishing necklaces and pendants.
Despite her lovely collection, Disaya said she's having trouble sleeping lately thanks to being seven months' pregnant, but meanwhile she loves what she's doing in her work and is thoroughly looking forward to giving birth.
She hasn't yet decided on a name for the baby, but will surely begin it with the Thai letter aor, like hers and her husband' s nicknames.
In the penultimate Elle show, Nagara lit up the catwalk with a spring-summer collection from Nagara Sambhandaraksa.
It was a stylishly elegant beach line mixed with Thai silk and bright, shocking colours.
Beachwear should be comfortable wearing, he said.
"My designs are wearable all year long in Asia and in cycles around the world.
"The new collection applies stretch fabric, and a colourful, fresh palette, but the pattern is rather simplistic to suit the general market."
Nagara's signature gowns were accentuated with a separate covering for the shoulders and arms that left a tantalising bare scoop at the upper back.
Alisa B, by designer Duangporn Boonyajinda, used various materials to bring out femininity. Methinee "Luk Ked" Kingpayom opened the show modelling a glossy, flowery design.
Duangporn probably showed best of female nature with her choice of materials and colours.
The collection of dressy outfits, the aggressive yet sexy look, and the sweet and weightless fabrics summed up every emotion you can find in a woman.

For that zesty sensation
Warm your heart with L'Occitane's new scent of Ruban d'Orange (Bt2,480 for 100 millilitres). Fresh and light, this fragrance is a clever concoction of Seville bitter orange, Sicilian mandarin, sweet orange and Calabrian lemon, with a slight tinge of amber in the last note, all reminiscent of a Mediterranean afternoon.
