
At 14, she released her debut album, "Genuine", which went to gold. In 2003, she released her self-titled second album and its first single, "Stuck", became a global hit. The album sold an estimated 3.4 million copies worldwide.
Who's doing what: Release of "Beautiful Awakening" was postponed due to
concerns of competition with new outings by Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and other chart toppers. The album is produced by Dallas Austin, Dwayne Bastiany, KayGee and The Underdogs and writing duties and Orrico co-wrote many of the songs, working with such notables in the business as She'kspere, Track & Field and Anthony Dent plus newcomer Novel, The first single, "I'm Not Missing You" peaked at No 19 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. The second cut is "So Simple."
Mr Badboy says: Orrico sings good, clean pop with simple, straightforward lyrics about love, teen angst and breaking up. The best numbers on this 12-track CD are "So Simple", "I'm Not Missing You", "Dream You", "Easy to Luv You", "It's Me" and "I Can't Give It Up". Some tracks have been given a pleasant R&B dance flavour a la Paris Hilton and Nelly Furtado. "Take Me Away" works well with old school R&B.
