DT GROUP REVENUE
213% growth expected

Magnolia Quality Development alone to bring in Bt1 bn

The DT Group of Companies expects revenues to grow 213 per cent this year, from Bt800 million to Bt2.5 billion, thanks to its Magnolia Quality Development real-estate business, which alone is expected to earn Bt1 billion.

Founded in 1993, DT Group has three business units: property arm DT Land, trading business DT Global and property- and services-management firm DT System and Process. In recent years, more than 70 per cent of the group's revenues have come from its property business.

DT Land has four subsidiaries: property firm Magnolia Quality Development; D Plans, which provides integrated construction services; DI Design, which offers architectural and interior-design services; and Dpex, which provides a full range of construction services.

Magnolia Quality Develop-ment has almost completed its Magnolia House project at kilometre 7 of Bang Na-Trat Road and a low-rise condominium project, The Muse, on Sukhumvit Road.

DT Land managing director Visit Malaisirirat said the group would enjoy strong growth this year, because the Bt1-billion Magnolia House project will be completed and transferred to home-buyers, with the income booked to the group's revenues.

The group's construction business is also expected to generate revenues of up to Bt1 billion this year.

Visit said the firm was now planning to launch two  projects worth Bt800 million in the third quarter that will target middle- to upper-income buyers.

"We're also interested in expanding our property projects to the mass market after succeeding with luxury detached-housing and condominium projects under the Magnolia brand last year," he said.

At present, the Magnolia House project has sales worth Bt800 million from a total project value of Bt1 billion. It has 25 detached houses and 52 condominium units on a 3.2-hectare site.

Fifteen of the project's 25 detached houses have been sold, as well as all of its condominium units. The company believes the project will be sold out and transferred to home-buyers and the income booked to revenues this year, Visit said.

He said the planned new projects focusing on the middle-income market would offer different residential units to those offered by competitors, especially energy-saving houses.
