Boonsak crashes out

[BADMINTON] Boonsak Ponsana's dream of winning his second crown in two weeks was shattered by his old Indonesian foe Taufik Hidayat at the Djarum Indonesia Open Super Series yesterday in Jakarta.
Defending champion Taufik lived up to his billing as one of the world's best players by beating the Thai 21-14 20-22 21-14 in the second round. Boonsak last week stole the headlines, winning the Singapore Open Super Series and was expected to give a tough fight. But it was not to be. Boonsak's nemesis Hidayat, the current Asian champion and 2005 world champion, took barely an hour to take his head-to-head record against the 25-year-old Thai to 6-0 at the Senayan Isatora Sport stadium. In the mixed doubles, Boonsak's compatriots Sudket Prapakamol and Saralee Thungthongkam crashed out to Han Sang-hoon and Hwang Yu-mi 21-18 13-21 21-18 in round 2.
