Lotto may hit jackpot

A huge jackpot might be needed for the new two- and three-digit lotteries as using pre-printed numbers instead of allowing punters to pick their own might not work, Finance Minister Chalongphob Sussangkarn said yesterday.

"We need to find what is best to attract punters' attention while not putting vendors at too great a risk," he said.

The government will today discuss with the National Legislative Assembly possible legal problems with the lotteries, due to start next month.
