Songtham Phianpattanawit, managing director of corporate wholesale and data services at True, said the firm had worked with Cisco to provide three new services - MPLS data networking, IP telephony and managed security services which protect network systems. The firm aims to provide a range of products to businesses so their staff can utilise technology to increase their efficiency. 0For example, data, voice, Voice over IP and video conferencing will be available to various customers depending on their requirements. "True has developed innovative services and technologies to meet business needs, and worked with Cisco to build a platform for future communication applications based on IP networks," said Songtham. He added the firm has 2,500 existing corporate clients using various services based on core networks such as information data centres, call centres and outsourcing services through converge networks. Corporate trends are moving towards using mobile computers as mobile offices and staff can utilise handheld devices connected to the Internet to access information and entertainment. "We use converge infrastructure for one-stop services to business so they can increase their productivity," said Songtham. Vorkon Patra-Yanan, regional managing director of Cisco Indochina, said True is the first service provider to use the Cisco Powered programme which utilises Cisco equipment as the backbone of services.
