Clarification from Web Editors

There is currently an e-mail being forwarded concerning the Thai government's attempt to block the YouTube web site. This video-sharing web site is carrying video clips that intend to hold the Thai monarchy in contempt.

This e-mail took out a news story reported by the Agence France-Presse, from The Nation website (www.nationmultimedia.com), and pieced it together with the pictures from the video clips - which are banned.

This digital photo editing has created a misunderstanding that it is the work of The Nation website.

The Nation website would like to clarify that we are not responsible, in whatever fashion, for the content in the forwarded e-mail.

We are also not in a position to know as to who was the original sender of the forwarded e-mail.
