Award for Danai
The International Tennis Federation will present Danai Udomchoke, who is one of the game's fast rising stars, with an award, the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand said yesterday.
The ITF president Francesco Ricci Bitti will present the award to Danai during a meeting in Tunisia on June 22. Danai has made rapid progress, rising from outside the top 200 to break into the top 100 last year before ending the season on a high note by clinching the Asian Games gold medal in Doha in December. Danai said he might not be available to receive the award due to his tight schedule. He said would ask LTAT vice-president Chaiyapak Siriwat to pick up the award on his behalf.
