Ratthapark finishes 15th
[MOTORCYCLING] Thai Honda PTT SAG rider Ratthapark Wilairot continued his fine form in his debut season, finishing 15th in the 250cc class in the Turkish Grand Prix at the Istanbul Park circuit on Sunday.
Ratthapark, who claimed a point, has a total of seven points and is currently in 19th position in the standings. Son of famous local rider Christmas, Ratthapark - who turned 19 just last week - said: "I'm happy with the result as I stayed with the top 15 all along. I have never ridden on the circuit before and was uncomfortable at various sections of the track. "We're making good progress with the team and things are going on well." Thai Honda PTT SAG team owner Eduardo Perales said: "Ratthapark did a good job again and saw his efforts rewarded with a point. If we didn't have the pressure problem with the airbox, we could have managed a better result, but in the end we're satisfied as everything went as planned and we scored points for the third successive time." Ratthapark will next compete in the China Grand Prix in Shanghai on May 6.
