Charity event at Pattana
Golfers will have some fun and experience the good feeling that comes from helping people when they tee up in Thai Summit Group's inaugural golf charity event, which will be held next month.
The Thai Summit Pattana Foundation under Thai Summit Group, an auto-parts company, is hosting the event. The proceeds will go to scholarships for underprivileged children. The Stableford system is used in the event, which is spilt into three divisions: flight A (handicap 0-12), flight B (handicap 13-24) and flight C (handicap 25-36), with an overall gross-score title on offer in each category. Special prizes will also be awarded to the golfer who shoots nearest to the pin on a par-3 hole and who hits the longest drive on a par-5. The tournament will be held on May 5-6 and May 26-27 at Pattana Golf & Sports Resort in Sri Racha, Chon Buri. For more information, contact (02) 158 9613-14.
