In brief :Russia waives visas for Thais

The Foreign Trade Department yesterday suggested that Thai traders, exporters and even tourists planning to visit Russia take along a copy of a Russian government announcement waiving visas for all Thais to ensure a smooth immigration process.
Director-general Apiradi Tantraporn said this new privilege for Thais was only in the beginning stage, so having a copy of the announcement could facilitate the immigration check. Russia announced on March 24 that it would waive entry visas for all Thai nationals. Previously, the country waived the visa requirement only for diplomats and other government officials.
