Contract awarded for Glow thermal generator

US-based Foster Wheeler has announced that subsidiaries within its Global Power Group had been awarded contracts from Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction for the design and supply of a circulating fluidised-bed (CFB) steam generator for the Glow CFB3 thermal power project in Thailand.
Doosan has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction contract from Glow Energy, the developer of the project. Commercial operation of the plant is scheduled for the end of 2009. Foster Wheeler has received a full notice to proceed on this contract. The value of the contract, which was not disclosed, will be included in Foster Wheeler's second-quarter 2007 bookings. - The Nation.
Open Solutions software to be sold in Kingdom Open Solutions, a US provider of integrated enabling technologies for financial service providers, has announced an international reseller partnership agreement with Thailand's Solution Corner (1998), a software developer and information technology provider. The partnership with Solution Corner (SLC) further expands Open Solutions' presence in Asia, specifically the Indochina region. SLC joins Open Solutions growing list of international resellers such as Canadian-based Celero, Asian-based CSII and India-based R Systems. Under the terms of the agreement, SLC will offer Open Solutions' products within Asia and will sublicense Open Solutions' relational enterprise data processing solutions and integrated ancillary products, serving as a non-exclusive distributor. SLC will be responsible for implementing, customising, localising and supporting the products covered by this agreement. - The Nation.
Thai Cuisine Festival opens in HCM City The Thai Cuisine Festival began recently in Ho Chi Minh City at the four-star Amara Sai Gon Hotel in District 3, with a full range of dishes prepared by chefs from Bangkok hotels.
