PM Surayud leaves hospital Wednesday

Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont left hospital on Wednesday after three days of medical checks, saying that he is fit and fine.
"It's like a car. Once it has been used for a while, it needs a check-up. My health is fine considering my age. I am ready to work, although I'm not in as good condition as a new car," he said tongue in cheek.
Surayud admitted to Bangkok hospital on Monday reportedly for an scheduled medical check up, amid increasing political tension in Bangkok and rumours that he might resign.
PM's personal doctor, Maj Gen Dr Prinya Taweechaikarn said in the morning that the medical checkup on Surayud found that he is fit and fine.
Team of doctors found nothing wrong with his intestinal system which made him sick eight years ago, the doctor added.
"There is nothing wrong with PM's intestinal system. Gen Surayud is fit and fine," he said.
Dr Prinya said that the prime minister could be discharged from the hospital on Thursday and it is up to him if he wants to leave on Wednesday.
