TCEB signs with Macau

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), to boost the number of tourists and business travellers between the two tourist destinations.
TCEB director-general Kajit Habanananda said the agreement would help both sides share information and experience in the fields of business-tourism development and management, business-tourism promotion and human-resources development. The two bodies will also strengthen cooperation in promoting and attracting business-tourism investment and organise study trips to seek opportunities for business tourism. They will promote and strengthen cooperation in business-tourism training and human-resources development. Thailand last year became Macau's 10th-largest source market. Macau welcomed almost 90,000 Thai visitors last year, up 54.5 per cent from 2005.
