Over 13,000 orders placed at Motor Show

Toyota remains the No.1 bestselling brand with the sale of 3,877 units when Bangkok International Motor Show was wrapped up on Sunday.

Trailing are Isuzu with the sale of 1,863 units; Honda, 1,323 units; Chevrolet, 1,306 units; and Mitsubishi, 1,119 units.

According to the organising committee, more than 13,000 orders were placed at the 10day event thanks to a large number of promotions offered by automobile companies in an effort to boost secondquarter sales. More than Bt10 billion is believed to change hands due to the 10day auto extravaganza, which is the largest automotive exhibition event in the region.

Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, who is the chairman of the organizing committee, said auto sales progressed positively despite the slow economy and gloomy political atmosphere.
