Police found a body believed to be Novotel Hotel finance staff

Police found body of a woman on Friday believed to be a finance staff of a hotel in Bangna district after she disappeared with Bt1 million with the hotel's chauffeur two days ago.
Police invited parents of Sukanda Mekloy to identify the body found in a soi in Pravet district. Sukanda disappeared with Phakhinai Janwiman, a former border patrol policeman, who drove for her to a bank. She carried Bt1 million in local and foreign currencies. Before the body was found, police said they will issue an arrest warrant for Phakhina as he was suspected of being behind the disappearance of Sukanda. Phakhinai will be charged with premeditated murder. The officer said Phakhinai will be charged with a "forceful theft" and that he had a hand in the disappearance of Sukanda, along with the money in her possession while she was making a deposit at a Siam Commercial Bank branch in Nong Bon district last Monday. Believing that Sukanda, 27, was already dead, Bang Na police on Friday searched ponds and scrubland in a 10km radius from the hotel, located near Sri Iam junction, but found nothing. Police will soon receive test results of blood stains found in the car that Phakhinai drove Sukanda to the bank in, to determine whether it was her blood. According to witnesses, Phakhinai's shirt was "wet and stained with blood" not long after he dropped her off at the bank. The Nation
