Highlights of the week :Charges to be filed against Pojaman

Public prosecutors are expected to file charges of tax evasion against Pojaman Shinawatra, the wife of former premier Thaksin, her brother Bhanapot Damapong and her secretary Kanchanapa Honghern in the Criminal Court today.

The three accused are expected to report this morning to the Attorney-General's Office.

Pojaman is ready to report to public prosecutors and the court by herself, according to Noppadon Pattama, the Shinawatra family's legal adviser.

Pro-PTV rally

Operators and supporters of the satellite-based People's Television (PTV) plan to hold another rally at Sanam Luang on Friday. Their last protest attracted about 1,200 people.

However, junta chief General Sonthi Boonyaratglin has expressed optimism that the rally will not last long due to lack of public support. He said most people had a "better understanding" about the country's situation.
