Bomb scare on Bangkok-Delhi flight, drunk arrested

New Delhi - Indian police on Wednesday arrested a drunken passenger on a New Delhi-bound flight from Bangkok after he threatened to blow up the plane, an airline spokesman told AFP.

State-run airline Indian's flight from the Thai capital was forced to make an emergency landing in the eastern city of Kolkata.

"Flight 854 is being searched for explosives," the spokesman, Ashok Sharma, said.

The detained passenger was only identified as a Mexican citizen, who was drunk.
