Auttapon struggles
Former Thai national player Auttapon Littiwattanapong defeated Timo Siwapaug 6-2 2-6 6-3 in the first round of the Bt200,000 Sat RU Tennis Circuit tournament at Ramkhamhaeng University yesterday.
Auttapon, a former champion, was made to work hard for his victory by the rising star from Bangkok.In other matches, Pongsiri Nirorch accounted for Puttarayu Chumpet 6-0 6-2, Surachete Chaikla defeated Pitt Chaiteerapun 6-2 6-4, Lewat Kitprasertkul routed Niti Vungpreecha 6-2 6-3, Puttiporn Chuntawananop overpowered Pongpun Srirasa 6-1 7-5, Harzana Godamanny defeated Nutchina Jempatjunya 6-1 6-4, Keerati Siributvong overwhelmed Sorachet Uayporn 6-1 6-2, Jirawat Rugarnpat beat Tullakarn Kittitanom 7-6 (8) 6-1 and Peerachut Chaipun outclassed Pitichat Chokchaicharean 6-4 6-3.
