Thaksin off to Tokyo

The Foreign Ministry has notified Japanese authorities through embassies in Bangkok and Tokyo that the government is concerned about Thaksin Shinawatra's presence in Japan.
Thaksin will give a special lecture on Thai politics at Tokyo University. Japanese television stations, including TBS and NHK, will also interview him. Arrangements for the media interviews have already been made. Thaksin yesterday stopped in Hong Kong on his way to Japan, where he is scheduled to speak on Thai politics. In Singapore earlier this week, Thaksin launched an attack on the military-installed government that has strained diplomatic ties between Thailand and Singapore.
