The Supreme Administra-tive Court yesterday cited a legal technicality in rejecting a request for judicial review of the privatisation of state-run Mass Communication Organisation of Thailand (MCOT), which operates Channel 9.



Yala teacher shot dead in his car

A teacher was shot dead in his car yesterday in Yala, where most schools only reopened on Monday following a 10-day closure prompted by a similar attack. Four other people, including two policemen, were seriously injured in drive-by shootings in neighbouring Pattani and Narathiwat provinces.



Students to be sued

The Student Loan Fund (SLF) plans to sue about 60,000 graduates for failing to repay loans that funded their studies.



Sukhumvit traffic fears

Motorists have been warned to brace for traffic jams on Sukhumvit Road, between On Nut and Bang Na, from Monday.



Display of royal toys for Children's Day
