NY Eve bombs rain on pop star's parade

South Korean idol "Rain" has postponed his Bangkok concert scheduled for next month following the deadly bomb attacks on New Year's Eve.
"Because eight bombs exploded in Bangkok on New Year's Eve, Korean pop star Rain - or Jung Ji Hoon - will not be holding his concert scheduled for February 3 at Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani," concert promoters RK Media Holding and SR2 Entertainment announced yesterday. "We are concerned about Rain's security. We apologise for this cancellation," the promoter said. The concert will instead be held in June. This afternoon the organisers, including the Korean Embassy, will discuss a new date, time and place - as well as the refund of tickets. They will hold a press conference tomorrow at 2pm at Discovery Club's meeting room at Siam Discovery Centre. Thailand is one of 12 countries on the Rain World Tour to promote his latest album "Rain's World". The concert would have been his second show in Bangkok. Rain is widely known from his previous hits "I Do", "It's Raining", "Sad Tango", "Free Way" and "Move On" and his leading role in the Korean TV series "Full House." His latest album was released last year in Asia.
