The government will publish all results of bidding for infrastructure projects on the Internet.
Bidding data and results will be posted every month, the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, said.Permanent secretary Chulayuth Hiranyavasit said the move was part of the government's plan to improve access to state information and public participation. He said the office planed to brush up outdated laws to prevent corruption. Last year, the office drafted an amendment to the State Vehicle Act that will go before the Cabinet soon. The office will also start progressive training for state lawyers working with private-sector contracts similar to that with iTV. "We need to be more careful with contracts to prevent similar problems [to those with iTV],'' he said. The office will decentralise power by establishing a clinic centre network. It will coordinate between the state, public and private sectors to solve problems and develop rural areas. Four centres have been established in Phitsanulok, Phuket, Nakhon Ratchasima and Suphan Buri. The network will be expanded to cover all regions. The office scrapped the complaint website www.rakang.com established during the Thaksin-Shinawatra administration and re-launched it as www.111.go.th.
