Phuket flights Last month, Fritidsresor, the TUI Nordic travel agency brand and Sweden's largest tour operator, resumed charter flights between Gothenburg and Phuket. Flights depart from the Stockholm-Arlanda Airport - the largest airport in Sweden and the 15th largest airport in Europe with 17.1 million passengers last year - and also from the city of Malmo, the commercial centre in southern Sweden close to the border with Denmark. With growing interest and ever-increasing market demand for travel to the tropical island of Phuket during the northern winter and yearend festive holidays, Fritidsresor has increased the number of charter flights to Phuket to two per month, on the first and third Thursdays of the month. The Fritidsresor charter flight to Phuket is served by a Boeing 747-400 aircraft with 582 seats. The first flight this season touched down in Phuket on November 2.
