The warm words expressed by the Dean on behalf of the Diplomatic and Consular Corps deeply touched me and I reciprocate sincerely the good wishes and friendship extended. I wish to thank you very much for your compliments on my various work relating to development. The Thai people are generally aware that they have many duties to perform in order to achieve progress and security of the nation. IN this respect, we stand by the principle of endeavouring to help ourselves to the best of our ability in our own way and within our means. At the same time, we are well are of the cordial ties and goodwill of friendly countries, and we all wish to continue to maintain such cordial relations always. This is because we believe faithfully that friendship on the basis of such sincerity is an important faction in the promotion of understanding among nations which will be beneficial for lasting peace in the world. On this occasion, I wish you and your families happiness and success in all your endeavours. I also wish the peoples and countries represented by you in this kingdom ever greater progress and prosperity.
