Four new Central complexes announced

Central Pattana will invest Bt20 billion to develop four more shopping complexes next year, on Bangkok's Chaeng Wattana Road and in Chon Buri town, Pattaya and Khon Kaen. Executive vice president Naris Cheyklin yesterday said the company would start selling space for the complexes early next year, with construction expected to be completed from mid-2008.
"Of the total investment, Bt10 billion will come from our cash flow, Bt5 billion from project financing and Bt5 billion from bonds that will carry five to seven years of maturity," he said.
Condo fair a success The Thailand Condo Expo 2006, held from November 24-26, witnessed total transactions valued at Bt1.2 billion. Property agency Harrison, organiser of the event, expects an additional Bt1.5 billion in transactions after the fair. Harrison said yesterday that out of 40,000 visitors, "new-generation" buyers had showed the highest interest in units priced between Bt1 million and Bt3 million.
