In Brief :Juniors off to the US

Six winners from the annual Mercedes Trophy Junior Golf Championships, which kicked off last month, will have an opportunity to play in the US.

The event, which features foreign and local players, has six qualifying rounds and a final. The event has three age groups - boys and girls under-12, under-14 and under-18.

The first round finished last month in Nakhon Nayok, while the second is played today and tomorrow at the Sawang Resort in Phetchaburi. The third round will be on January 13-14, while the following round will be from March 22-23.

The fifth round will be on April 19-20, while the last qualifying round will be on May 10-11. The final will be from June 27-29.

The top six winners, one boy and one girl from each age category, will be eligible to take part in the Teens On The Green World Championships Final in Atlanta.
