The Cabinet yesterday approved a transfer order reshuffling several C-10 officials at various ministries and appointing a new Department of Special Investi-gation chief, Sunai Manomai-udom, and Social Security Office head, Surin Jirawisit.

Sunai was the chief of a judges' quorum in the Court of Appeals while former SSO secretary-general Phairoj Suksamrit, who completes his four-year term at the SSO, is now a Labour Ministry deputy permanent secretary.

The transfer also sees Weera Rojphojjanarat promoted to Culture Ministry permanent secretary and Weeraphol Jirapraditkul to director of the Energy Policy and Planning Office at the Energy Ministry.

Also at the Energy Ministry, Khurujit Nakhonthap, a deputy director-general of the Mineral Fuels Department, becomes a deputy permanent secretary and Weeraphol Sakharin, a senior official attached to the Secretariat Office, becomes an inspector-general.

Two political positions have also been approved with Aphinant na Ranong becoming secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Nitya Pibulsonggram, and Pharada Nanebamrung, an adviser to the prime minister on foreign affairs, becoming a deputy PM's secretary-general.
