Pop idols get in tune with new symphony

POP iDOLS, a local software company, has developed a new digital media management product, called Symphony Enterprise Edition, to give content providers better management and monitoring of their digital content.
The company's chief executive officer Pongrapee Thongsrinoon said the new edition is designed for large-scale digital content management with three key modules - customer business processes, business intelligence and security. It is suitable for use by mobile phone operators, Internet service providers, broadcasters, large media businesses and telecommunications companies which provide a variety of digital content to customers. The new edition is a further development from the company's previous Symphony ASP Edition and the mobile-rights and content-management platforms which are used by world-class companies, including Sony BMG, Universal Music and Warner Music. Pongrapee said as the system was built upon open digital rights management architecture (open DRM), it supported all popular DRM such as Microsoft Media Rights Manager and Real Network Media. The company plans to work with business partners to market the new edition locally and internationally in the Asia-Pacific region. As it is designed for large-scale management it requires initial budgets of Bt8 million to Bt10 million.
