Thai pair go down
[BADMINTON] Sudket Parpakamol and Saralee Thungthongkam joined other Thai players on the flight back home from Guangzhou after losing their mixed doubles quarter-final in the US$250,000 China Open Championships yesterday.
The world No-4 pair had beaten world No 6 Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawen in the quarter-finals of the World Championships last month, but things were different this time around. The Thai duo had no answer to the Chinese, the Indonesia Open winners, and lost 21-12 21-9. The Chinese next face either Robert Blair and Jenny Wallwork of England or the Chinese duo of He Han-bin and Yu Yang in the semi-finals.
