Big field for Khon Kaen

[MARATHON] The Khon Kaen International Marathon will kick of on January 28 with more than 45,000 runners, both local and foreign, taking part to commemorate the 60th anniversary of His Majesty the King's accession to the throne.

In the past three years the event has grown rapidly and a big field is expected again next year. There will be the full marathon, half-marathon, mini-marathon, four-kilometre walk, a fun run and also an age group category.

Next year's race will be run past Wat Nong Waeng, a famous local temple with a splendid pagoda.

Runners in the full marathon, half-marathon and mini-marathon will have their times checked by digital chips attached to their shoes.

Apart from a share of Bt2 million in prize money, the overall men's and women's champions will receive trophies donated by His Majesty the King.

For more information, ask at all branches of the Krungsri Ayudhya Bank before January 20.
