You just go ahead and stare

Boldness is the key to this season's alluring makeup look.
Pimara Kampanathsanyakorn, beauty editor at the Thai edition of Elle magazine, says all you have to do is be more confident when it comes to making up your eyes. "I think Thai women should be more experimental with the eye makeup," she says. "There are so many new items to play with, and most are very wearable. It's time to break away from a simple slick of mascara or that '60s winged eyeliner look, which is getting so passé right now, and go for some soft, smoky action on the lids. "By focusing on the eyes, you can still maintain the look, even though your lip colour is already gone at the end of the day, and touch-ups are easy. "And don't forget to finish off with a healthy dose of volume and length-boosting mascara, like the ones from MAC and Clinique." Pimara also has a few tips to share with girls who like to paint their pouters. "Powerful red lips are very hot this season. And be sure to play with all variations of the shade. But if you're a bit shy and don't want to go so bold in the beginning, a lip tint is the product to go for. "And remember: When wearing a bold mouth, keep the cheeks and eyes simple. A nude or peachy tone is always the safest choice." Despite the seemingly easy-to-follow trends, Pimara advises women to be very selective when it comes to texture. "Matte foundation is really the star product of the season, but I think the best bet is to go for a foundation that gives your skin a dewy finish. "Try La Mer's new Skin Color Foundation rather than super matte, which will leave you looking dry and unnatural in our hot weather. The same goes for cheek colours, which will be very muted and not shimmery. "If you like using eyeliner, try switching from liquid to pencil. It gives a much softer edge and a more modern look. As for lips, the ideal texture is creamy matte - lip gloss is definitely out of date." Rangsita Sirivanich The Nation
