Two golds for Thais

[TAEKWONDO] Thais did a magnificent job, grabbing seven medals, including two gold, in the World Junior Taekwondo Championships in Ho Chi Minh City.
Bantamweight Pen-ek Karaket, the Asian junior champion, made history for Thailand when she beat Kazakhstan's Bekzat Abenov 4-1 in the final to become the first Thai ever to win a gold medal in the biennial meet. Buttree Puedpong, in the women's finweight category, handed the country the second gold when she overcame Korean Lee Ji-min in the final round. Thailand claimed two silver medals when Prapaporn Sangnar and Vasawat Somswang finished second in the women's featherweight (under-49kg) and men's featherweight (under-55kg). In the women's flyweight (under-44kg) and the men's finweight (under-45kg), Thailand got two more silver medals from Ratikran Thongkhak and Soravit Lanhanimit after they went down to Korean Kim Min-ji and Bekkassymov Zhalg from Kazakhstan respectively in the final clash. The last bronze medal of the day came from Jerranat Nakaviroj in the men's flyweight.
