Lion Corp spending Bt3.26 bn to double capacity at Chon Buri plant
Lion Corp (Thailand) Ltd is spending 10 billion Japanese yen (Bt3.26 billion) to double its laundry-detergent production capacity, according to a report in Nihon Keizai Shimbun on Saturday.
The company will add equipment such as dryers and filling machines to its Sri Racha plant, Chon Buri. When the new facilities go on stream by the end of next year, production capacity will be boosted to 100,000 tonnes a year.Lion said the investment was in response to the growing population in Southeast Asia and increased demand, as well as the liberalisation of trade under the Asean Free Trade Area. - The Nation.
