National standard to be developed for agricultural products in 2007
The Agriculture Ministry will implement a national standard for agricultural products next year, focusing on 20 categories in an attempt to upgrade the country's production competitiveness.
Somchai Charnnarongkul, deputy director of the National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards, said the focus would initially be on lychee, dried longan, dried longan for processed products, rambutan, chemical-residue levels and risk analysis of food produced using biotechnology. - The Nation.PROPERTY: LPN to build Bt1.2-bn condo project LPN Development Plc will spend Bt1.2 billion on two 23-storey condominium projects, to meet demand in the Ramkham-haeng, Bang Kapi and Lat Phrao areas.
